Top 100 Indian Movies of All Time (Upto 2016)

Top 100 Indian Movies of All Time Worth Watching

Here I have compiled the Top 100 Indian Movies that are a  must watch. Some of them were not Commercially Successful, but these Movies are Class Apart!!!

These Movies are in not in any particular order. This List includes Movies of all Genres, be it Serious, Satirical, Giving a Social Message, Horror, Suspense Thriller or Humour based. Do go through this List and let me know which are your Favorite Ones.........

Note: You might have a different take on some of these films, you might like a few whereas you might hate others.

1. Swades: We the People (2004) -  If anybody asks me to mention the 10 Best Movies of my Life, this one would be certainly be a strong contender to be among the top 10...possibly amongst the Top 5. I might have seen this film more than 150 times (Not Exaggerating in anyway)......and whenever this movie comes on any channel, I leave all my work and watch this movie even if I have watched it so many times.

Awesome Direction by Ashutosh Gowarikar

Swades : Certainly a Strong contender for the Top 10 Indian Movies of All Time

I am not a Big SRK (Shah Rukh Khan) fan, but if I had to enlist the Best Movies of SRK, this would certainly be amongst the top contenders, after a healthy competition from Classsics of SRK like "Anjaam", "Darr", "Kal Ho Na Ho" and Many others.

The Love Story in this film is just a part of the movie but is very sweet and simple, if at all anyone had asked me which is the best Love story you liked from a film, I would certainly bet on Swades

Gayatri Joshi's first and Only movie of her Career carried off this role with ease. Every time you watch this movie you fall in love with the character played by her in the Movie. A Perfect Marriage Material, and the type of girl you would expect to be your life partner.....

The Icing on the cake being the Music and the background Score of this film. Almost all the Songs are just next level of Awesome. The Background Score adds to the Soul of this Movie. Especially the train sequence wherein a small guy sells water at 25p and the whole scene is just beyond description.

This is one of those A.R.Rahman's movie whose Background Score I would Include in the TOP 5 Indian BGM's

Be it the Title Track "Yeh jo des hai Tera", or the sweet voice of Madhushree in "Saawariyan Saawariyan", all the songs are just perfect that even if we hear them after 12 years you will certainly like them.

Interesting fact: Gayatri Joshi, the Female Lead acted in her One and only film in her whole career and that movie was "Swades.

Songs Worth Listening from this Album:

1. Yeh Tara Woh Tara - Sung by Udit Narayan
2. Yuh Hi Chala chal Rahi - Kailash Kher
3. Saawariyan Saawariyan - Sweet Voice of Madhushree and Vijay Prakash at the end of the song
4. Aahista Aahista

In Short every song is worth Listening to and not to forget the Background Score which takes the movie another level.

These were some of the reasons that I watch the Movie, even if have seen it a hundred times before!!!
